If you’re ready to step into the ring and represent Elite Fight Club, the path to becoming a registered Muay Thai fighter in Ontario is clear—but it requires discipline, preparation, and proper registration.
This guide breaks down everything you need to know to compete under Muay Thai Ontario (MTO) and proudly represent the team.
🥊 Step 1: Train ! Minimum 1 year
Before anything else, you must be training !
At Elite Fight Club, our fighters are coached, developed, and prepared through structured training, sparring, and fight camps. We will determine when you’re ready—not just physically, but mentally.
👉 No one fights without coach approval.

Quick reminder (please look at weight class sheet below and always be on the bigger side of your weight class. Ex. If your in a weight class 1 Senior 18-40. You should be 45kg/99lbs. You should not be lower. As your opponent has the potential to be bigger than you. Also if you are 100lbs. You will be out of your weight bracket and will not be allowed to fight unless you lose the weight. Which you have 3 times to do so. And is very shitty to do as the weigh ins are same day and usually 3-4 hours before fights starts. Giving you very little time to rehydrate if you cut weight. )

📋 Step 2: Register with Muay Thai Ontario (MTO)
To compete legally in Ontario, all fighters must register with the provincial governing body:
Visit: https://muaythaiontario.org
Navigate to: Membership / Fighter Registration
You will need to:
Create an account
Register as an athlete
Pay the annual membership fee
✅ This officially makes you eligible to compete in sanctioned events.

🩺 Step 3: Complete Your Medical Requirements
Safety is a top priority. You’ll need to complete medical clearance before fighting.
Typical requirements include:
Pre-fight medical form signed by a doctor
Bloodwork (HIV, Hep B, Hep C)
Eye exam (in some cases)
These documents are submitted through your MTO registration or brought to the event.

🪪 Step 4: Get Your Fighter Passbook
Once registered and medically cleared, you’ll receive your fighter passbook.
This book tracks:
Your fight record
Medical clearance
Suspensions (if applicable)
👉 You must bring this to every fight.
🧾 Step 5: Register for an Event
Fighters don’t register themselves—your coach handles matchmaking.
At Elite Fight Club:
Coaches communicate with promoters
Match you based on weight, experience, and skill level
Submit your name for upcoming fight cards
Popular Ontario promotions include:
Provincial tournaments
Local amateur fight shows
🥊 Step 6: Get Fight-Ready
Once matched, it’s time for fight camp.
At Elite Fight Club, this includes:
Structured pad work & sparring
Conditioning & weight management
Strategy and opponent prep
Mental coaching and discipline
You’re not just training—you’re preparing to represent the team.
🏆 Step 7: Represent Elite Fight Club
Fight day is earned, not given.
As an Elite Fight Club fighter, you represent:
Your coaches
Your teammates
Your discipline and hard work
Show respect, fight with heart, and perform with composure.
Final Word
Anyone can say they want to fight.
Few are willing to do what it takes.
At Elite Fight Club, we make sure you’re truly ready—before your name is ever called.
Stay disciplined. Stay sharp. Stay ready. 🥊🔥
