At Elite Fight Club, sparring is earned—not given. It’s a controlled environment where students develop timing, composure, and real fight IQ. To keep everyone safe and maintain a high standard, all members must follow the guidelines below before stepping into sparring.
Minimum Experience Requirement
Before participating in unsupervised sparring, students must complete a minimum of 1 year of consistent training.
This ensures that every student:
Has a solid foundation in technique
Understands control, distance, and timing
Can spar safely without putting themselves or others at risk
Sparring before this stage may still be allowed under direct coach supervision, but unsupervised rounds are a privilege that must be earned through time, discipline, and consistency.

Required Gear for Sparring
All students participating in sparring must have the following:
• Muay Thai shorts only (no basketball shorts or loose training shorts)
• 14-16oz boxing gloves (mandatory for all sparring rounds)
• Shin pads (must be worn at all times)
• Headgear (required for controlled and safe sparring)
• Mouth guard (required for all participants)
• Groin protection (mandatory for safety)
• Knee pads (required when knees are being used in sparring)
• Elbow pads (required when elbows are being used in sparring)
⸻
Permission Before Sparring
Sparring is not something you jump into on your own. All students must ask and receive approval from a senior instructor before sparring. This ensures you are technically and mentally ready, and allows coaches to match you with appropriate partners.
⸻
Hygiene & Safety Standards
Respect for your training partners starts with cleanliness and awareness.
• Toenails and fingernails must be clipped
• No earrings, jewelry, or accessories
• Hair must be tied back if long
• Clean gear and proper hygiene are expected at all times
Anything that can scratch, cut, or cause injury will not be allowed on the mats.
⸻
The Standard at Elite Fight Club
We don’t just spar—we train with purpose.
These rules are in place to protect every student, maintain a professional environment, and build disciplined martial artists.
Train hard. Stay technical. Take care of your partners.
