Watching Felipe “The Weapon” Lopez celebrate completing the Toronto Waterfront Marathon makes me proud as his coach. It is another achievement for someone who puts a tremendous amount of effort into what he does. Now, with that medal earned, Felipe has another date ahead of him: November 7, 2026, when he steps back into the ring at Naka Martial Arts.

Felipe is one of the hardest workers at Elite Fight Club and one of the most supportive members of Team Elite. Anyone who trains alongside him knows how much he cares about improving and how much he cares about the people around him. That combination means a lot to me.

The work behind the achievement

A marathon takes commitment long before the finish line. You have to put time into preparing, stay consistent, and keep moving when the work becomes difficult. Seeing Felipe take on that challenge says a lot about his willingness to test himself.

We see that effort in the gym too. From conditioning on the air bikes to working on his Muay Thai, Felipe brings a strong attitude to training. The photos here capture some of that everyday work with his teammates. These sessions are part of the process, and he takes that process seriously.

A teammate who gives back

As a coach, I value the way a fighter contributes to the gym. Supporting your teammates, sharing their excitement, and helping create a positive training environment all matter. A strong team is built by people who care about each other’s progress.

Felipe is one of those people. He works hard toward his own goals while continuing to support the people around him. That is something I appreciate deeply. When we call ourselves Team Elite, this is the kind of attitude we want that name to represent.

It also makes moments like this special for the whole gym. We get to celebrate someone who has been there for others and watch him take another step in his own journey.

Back in the ring at Naka Martial Arts

On November 7, Felipe will represent Team Elite again at Naka Martial Arts. I am proud to see him stepping back into the ring and continuing to challenge himself. He has our support as he prepares for the next fight.

To everyone at Elite, let’s give Felipe the same encouragement he gives his teammates. Celebrate the marathon achievement, get behind his preparation, and show him that his team is with him.

Congratulations, Felipe. Your hard work and the support you give this team are appreciated. Proud to be your coach, and looking forward to November 7.

RESPECT IS EARNED. GRATITUDE IS FREE. LEGACY IS BUILT.
