If you live in Markham and are looking for a martial arts program for your child, the right place should feel supportive from the very first class. At Elite Fight Club, we welcome families from Markham and nearby communities who want their children to learn authentic Muay Thai in a positive environment. Students do not need previous martial arts experience to begin.

What children learn in Muay Thai

Muay Thai teaches students how to move with purpose. They practice balance, footwork, basic punches and kicks, and how to follow instructions. Equally important, they learn to respect partners, take turns, work with teammates and keep trying when a new skill feels difficult.

Progress does not have to mean being the toughest or fastest in the class. For a child, progress may be learning to focus for a full drill, holding a stance more confidently or being willing to try again after making a mistake.

Programs for different age groups

Our Junior Kids Muay Thai program is designed for ages 4 to 9, while Senior Kids Muay Thai is for ages 10 to 14. Age-appropriate instruction matters: younger students need engaging movement and clear routines, while older students can work toward increasingly detailed technique and conditioning.

What to expect from the first class

A child’s first Muay Thai class can feel exciting and a little unfamiliar. Our goal is to make getting started straightforward. Bring comfortable workout clothes and water, and plan to arrive about ten minutes early. First-class equipment is available.

Children will be introduced to the coach, the class routine and the fundamentals at an appropriate pace. You do not need to buy a full set of training gear before deciding whether the program is right for your family.
