Kru Shankar “The General” Balthasar is getting Anthony “The Bulgar” Georgieff’s rocks ready for action. With the ISH Promotions eight-man Muay Thai tournament coming up on Saturday, October 3, 2026, the final preparations at Elite Fight Club are about focus, routine and the people in Anthony’s corner.

The details behind fight preparation

Our latest Instagram reel captures a quieter part of fight week: Kru Shankar preparing Anthony’s hands. Padwork, sparring and conditioning are the sessions people usually see. This moment shows the care and experience that also go into getting a fighter ready to perform.

Hand preparation is one part of a much larger process. A fighter needs to arrive with a clear mind, trust in the work already done and confidence in the team around him. An experienced coach helps bring those pieces together before the bell rings.

One fighter, a whole team behind him

Anthony represents Elite Fight Club Canada, and the support extends beyond a single training session. Coaches and teammates have been behind him throughout his preparation. We are proud of the effort he has put in and grateful to everyone supporting him as he approaches this challenge.

A big thank you to Paul and Satrawoot.ca for the apparel and continued support. We also appreciate Optimal Accounting and The Spot RPR for supporting Anthony for this event, and Stitch Canada Ink for the Bulgar shirts.

What our students can learn from fight week

You do not have to compete to appreciate the habits behind good preparation. Listening to your coach, paying attention to details and showing up consistently matter at every level. That same approach guides our Muay Thai training in Scarborough for students joining us from Markham and across Toronto.

We will be behind The Bulgar on October 3. Follow our Instagram for training moments and team updates.
