The 6 PM crew brought great energy to Elite Fight Club. We started with AirDyne bike intervals, moved through jump and movement drills, and finished with high-volume bag work with trigger strikes mixed in between combinations. The videos below give you a look at the effort, coaching, and team atmosphere inside our Muay Thai Fitness class in Scarborough.

Starting the session with AirDyne intervals

The guys got straight to work on the bikes. Short bursts of effort had everyone using their arms and legs and settling into the session. You can see the crew pushing themselves together, with a few smiles along the way.

These intervals are part of our conditioning work. We build the effort progressively, and members work at a pace suited to their fitness and experience. The aim is to prepare for the rest of class and keep improving from week to week.

Jump drills, movement, and coordination

The session continued with jump drills using the platforms, movement between stations, and coaching along the way. This part of training asks you to pay attention to your balance, foot placement, and control while keeping moving.

We coach the movement and adjust the challenge to the person. Building confidence with the drill comes before adding more speed or intensity.

High-volume bag work with trigger strikes

On the heavy bags, the focus was maintaining volume while staying ready to react. Keep the punches and kicks flowing, then respond with the called trigger strike between combinations.

It sounds straightforward until your shoulders get tired and your breathing picks up. That is when you have to concentrate: keep your guard, stay balanced, control your breathing, and make the next strike count.

I want students to build conditioning while learning how to move and strike properly. A good round gives you something specific to work on, whether that is a steadier pace, cleaner technique, or a quicker response to the call.

A class you can grow into

You do not need to be a fighter or have previous martial arts experience to join. Our Muay Thai Fitness classes welcome beginners, people returning to exercise, and members who want to improve their conditioning.

What I enjoy is seeing people at different stages putting in the effort together. You can start at your level, learn the movements, and build from there. Come ready to work, ask questions, and enjoy the session.
